Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) in Tyler, Texas seeks a Bakery Associate to ensure baked goods meet company standards and support department sales and customer service. You will work closely with bakery personnel to promote profitability while upholding quality and safety.

The role requires the ability to train partners, manage inventory, and operate bakery equipment. A high school diploma or GED and food handling certifications are required; drivers must meet age requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1+ years of related experience.
• Minimum of 18 years old.
• Partners must be 21+ to drive for Company business per policy.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop partners; schedule, plan, assign and direct work.
• Review historical data on sales, ads and promotions.
• Co-manage inventory to ensure satisfactory in-stock levels.
• Review profit/loss, sales, shrink, and labor data with department manager.
• Maintain sales performance, product quality, and safety standards.
• Inspect baked goods for aroma, flavor, texture, and color.
• Prepare, package, label, cater, and deliver baked goods.
• Decorate baked goods and merchandise displays.
• Check truck inventory, unload products, and manage related paperwork.
• Promote sales through suggestive selling and displays.
• Maintain clean, safe environment per safety procedures.
• Greet customers and take orders by phone and in person.
