Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a capable Bakery Associate to join our Wayne Avenue store. You will support daily bakery operations, greet customers, answer questions, resolve issues, and help maintain freshness with a professional, friendly approach.

You will assist with cake decorating, product prep, inventory, scheduling, and training while supporting the Bakery Manager. Previous decorating experience is preferred and safety/quality standards are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate or Bachelor's in business-related or food service field desirable.
• Minimum 2 years’ management experience in retail/restaurant/supermarket.
• Previous decorating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes excellent customer relations by instilling positive customer-focused behavior with associates.
• Smiles and greets customers, answers questions and resolves issues promptly.
• Assists Bakery Manager in day-to-day operations and scheduling.
• Decorates cakes and bakery items using creams, fillings or custom designs.
• Oversees inventories, monitors weekly sales, and ensures freshness.
• Ensures adherence to recipes, logs, and safety procedures.
