Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers is seeking an Executive Baker to oversee bakery production, inventory, and R&D for recipes aligned with nutritional guidelines. The role expands bakery offerings, ensuring fresh items and new savory/breakfast options, while planning daily operations to maximize productivity.

The position requires leadership of bakers, collaboration with district food services, and active engagement with community stakeholders to promote nutrition and culinary education.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• Knowledge of commercial bakery procedures and requirements.
• 3 years of professional work experience.
• 2 years of leadership experience with a medium-size team or larger.
• 2-year culinary degree.
• May be required to drive to locations across the district in own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare production schedules to meet district menus and participation levels.
• Supervise and coach bakers and assistants; document performance and evaluations.
• Implement policies and methods for production to achieve quality and cost objectives.
• Monitor inventory and issue purchase orders; adjust schedules to meet demand.
• Coordinate taste tests with leadership to gather student feedback on products.
• Communicate with Warehouse, Purchasing, and Kitchen Managers for accurate ordering.
• Plan and perform routine maintenance; arrange repairs as needed.
• Collaborate on food literacy events to promote engagement and nutrition awareness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
