Job summary

Nugget Markets Kitchen in our Woodland Warehouse is seeking dependable, enthusiastic team players to join the bakery production team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This full-time role involves physical work, prepping, baking, packaging, and labeling hundreds of baked goods daily for shipment to Nugget stores.

You will operate ovens and other kitchen machinery, handle dough, and maintain a clean, sanitary workspace in a cold, perishable environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Basic understanding of the English language, including reading recipes, basic instructions, schedules and signage.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A sense of urgency while paying attention to details.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• A positive attitude is essential!
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prep, bake, package and label hundreds of baked goods daily for shipment to stores.
• Mix, scale and bench dough; bake artisan breads and desserts.
• Lift and stack flour; load carts and racks; transfer products to refrigeration/freezers.
• Palletize and label products into boxes.
• Operate ovens, proofers, slicers, mixers and dough dividers; keep a clean, sanitary work area.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities include prepping, baking, packaging, and labeling hundreds of baked goods daily for shipment to our stores. This includes mixing, scaling, and benching dough, baking artisan breads and desserts, lifting and stacking flour, loading carts and racks, transferring products to refrigeration/freezers, palletizing, and labeling products into boxes. You'll also operate various kitchen machinery, including ovens, proofers, slicers, mixers, and dough dividers, while maintaining a clean, sanitary, and attractive work environment.

Due to the perishable nature of our products, you'll work in extremely cold environments and must be familiar with proper food handling techniques.
