Job summary

ShopRite of Orange, CT is seeking a Bakery Manager to direct all functions of the Bakery Department and its staff. This role reports to the General Store Manager and focuses on sales, profit, Customer Experience, and Associate Engagement.

The position requires strong leadership, safety adherence, and ability to work in a dynamic retail environment to deliver high-quality bakery products and service.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly and accurately.
• Basic math skills for daily operations and inventory.
• Ability to stand/walk for full shifts and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Comfort with basic computer functions used in store operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise Bakery Department operations and staff.
• Lead associates to achieve department goals and maintain customer experience.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and accuracy of product handling and pricing.
• Assist with onboarding and training of department staff.
