Qualifications
- Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively.
- Willing to complete required apprenticeship coursework and pass intake exams.
- Flexibility to work any shift, including weekends/holidays/overtime.
- Able to acquire basic maintenance skills and safety training.
- Basic computer skills for recording maintenance work orders.
Responsibilities
- Learn safety requirements and basic maintenance skills to meet standards.
- Complete coursework to develop maintenance skillsets.
- Learn preventive maintenance on bakery equipment.
- Assist in inspection and upkeep of machinery and equipment.
- Learn to repair components on motors, pumps, conveyors, ovens and coolers.
- Document work orders and ensure equipment integrity.
- Maintain safe work practices and follow defined procedures.
- Identify downtime causes and potential cost savings.
- Participate in root-cause problem solving with the team.
