Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company bakery team member sought to ensure baked goods are prepared and displayed per standards. You will collaborate with bakery staff to boost department sales and deliver excellent customer service supporting profitability goals.

You will train and develop partners, review sales data, co-manage inventory, and help maintain quality, safety, and cleanliness while engaging with customers and promoting products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop partners, schedule, plan, assign, and direct work with upper management.
• Review historical data on sales, ads, and promotions; co-manage inventory to ensure in-stock levels; may review profit, sales, shrink, and labor data with department manager.
• Indirectly responsible for maintaining and improving sales performance, financial results, public relations, product quality, and work standards.
• Enforce quality control and food safety standards; ensure dated products are stocked and rotated; inspect baked goods for quality.
• Decorate baked goods creatively, promote themes, and merchandise products through displays.
• Check inventory on trucks, unload products, and ensure accuracy of inventory and ordering.
• Promote product sales through suggestive selling and appealing displays.
• Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary working and shopping environment by following safety procedures.
• Provide friendly, customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers and taking orders by phone and in person.
