Job summary

Harmons Grocery in Holladay, UT seeks a Bakery Supervisor to support the Bakery Manager in training and mentoring associates, determine production and inventory levels, and ensure high quality and profitability of the bakery operations. You will oversee scheduling, pricing accuracy, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards while delivering excellent customer service and mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college education preferred.
• Five years of bakery experience preferred.
• Current Food Handler’s Permit.
• Excellent organization and planning skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures.
• Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services the Bakery provides.
• Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the Bakery.
• Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items.
• Ensures the Bakery is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance.
• Deliver excellent customer service to all customers.
• Ordering product and creating production sheets to meet the needs of the Bakery based on past and projected sales.
• Writes the Bakery schedule to ensure coverage and meet labor goals.
• Teaches, mentors, and educates associates to help them be successful members of the team.
• Provides honest, direct, and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance.
