Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of baking experience preferred.
• Current Food Handler’s Permit or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to read and follow a recipe.
• Basic math to adjust recipes.

Responsibilities

• Follows established department/store policies.
• Maintains quality and freshness of artisan bread products.
• Maintains appropriate product assortment and inventory for artisan bread.
• Ensures accurate pricing and signage for artisan breads, including ads.
• Keeps bakery clean and sanitized daily.
• Delivers excellent customer service to customers.
• Follows recipes for mixing, shaping, scoring, and baking artisan breads.
• Teaches and mentors other bakers.
• Provides feedback on performance and development.
• Assists with ordering related to artisan breads.
• Communicates with Store Director and Bakery Manager.
