Job summary

TDP Bakery in Houston is hiring for the Bakery Icer and Finishing position in our finishing department. The role includes icing products, preparing icing, maintaining equipment, and adhering to quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has production or manufacturing experience, familiarity with bakery equipment, and strong attention to detail. You should be able to work weekends, have reliable transportation, and be legally eligible to work in the US.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with bakery equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work any day of the week, including weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to learn and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Authorization to work in the US (must provide proper documentation).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Operate icing tables and warmers.
• Maintain and clean equipment regularly.
• Prepare icing with correct temperature and consistency.
• Apply icing to products with precision.
• Gather toppings, sprinkles, and icing.
• Set up icing areas with ingredients and equipment.
• Read bake lists to gauge material needs.
• Follow bake sheets for quantities and task tracking.
• Apply toppings evenly for presentation.
• Break down equipment for sanitation after shift.
• Adhere to food safety and allergen protocols.
• Fill out and maintain food safety paperwork.
• Assist with training new team members on icing tables.
• Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
• Follow GMP to maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Assist with additional tasks as directed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Follow cleaning schedules for equipment/workspaces.
• Ensure tools are sanitized regularly.
• Dispose of waste properly.
