Job summary

Jerry’s Enterprises, Inc. at Cub Foods Bloomington is seeking a part-time bakery associate to join our team.

You will prepare bakery products including donuts, cakes, and breads, fill and rotate cases, assist with receiving products and merchandising, and maintain a clean, sanitary store environment. The role offers a progressive wage scale up to $18.00 per hour based on experience, with a flexible schedule and a team-oriented, union environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a bakery preferred.
• Knowledge of pastries, breads, ovens and good food is a plus.
• Attended Food Safety training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery products including donuts, cakes and breads.
• Fill and rotate cases and displays; assist with merchandising.
• Assist with receiving products and stocking shelves.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary store environment.
• Work with the team and arrive promptly for shifts.

Reports to: Bakery Manager

Classification: Part Time Union

Rate of Pay: Progressive scale up to $18.00 / hour, based on experience

Hours: Sunday – Saturday, varied hours

Position functions and physical responsibilities may vary by store location

FREQUENT:

Physical

• lifting/carrying to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling over 50 force lbs.(unloading bakery ingredients and supplies)
• walking, reaching, standing, stooping/bending, squatting
• repetitive motion: turning, bending

Equipment Operation:

• scanner, scale, label machine, mixer, oven, donut fryer, donut glazer, pan washer, bread slicer, scraper, knives, box cutter, baker rack, pallet jack

Mental:

• judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, math, basic computer skills

Environmental:

• extended exposure to varied temperatures and wet surfaces, working with hot grease

OCCASIONAL:

Physical

• lifting/carrying over 50 lbs., equipment operation (calculator), climbing ladders, kneeling

FREQUENT: 15% of the work shift or at least ten repetitions per work shift

OCCASIONAL: Approximately less than 15% of the work shift or fewer than 10 repetitions per work shift
