Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Oakland is seeking a Team Member to support Bakery operations, receiving and preparing product, stocking shelves, and ensuring displays meet WFM standards. You will interact with customers and Team Members on the floor, promoting the store’s programs and initiatives.

This role emphasizes friendly service, adherence to health and safety rules, accurate pricing, and teamwork. The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds and flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fresh, appealing displays; stock, front-face, rotate, and remove out-of-date products.
• Stock shelves and displays; maintain back stock.
• Prevent spoilage and communicate waste to buyers and supervisors.
• Assist with sampling program and periodic inventory checks.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer needs promptly.
• Merchandise products and ensure proper signage and pricing.
• Follow health and safety regulations; keep area clean and safe.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; report hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
