Palermo Villa, Inc. is hiring a Bakery Mixer/Machine Operator on the 2nd shift at our West Milwaukee location. You will operate and monitor production equipment to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or food production experience preferred.
• Experience operating production or processing equipment is required.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow work instructions, SOPs, and food safety procedures.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well on a team.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor bakery production equipment used throughout the manufacturing process.
• Set up equipment and verify production specifications before startup.
• Monitor product quality, dough characteristics, temperatures, and production flow throughout the shift.
• Make equipment adjustments to maintain product quality and maximize efficiency.
• Perform routine troubleshooting to minimize downtime and communicate equipment concerns when needed.
• Complete required quality, food safety, and production documentation.
• Assist with product changeovers, sanitation, startup, and shutdown activities.
• Maintain clean, organized, and audit‑ready work areas.
• Partner with Production, Quality, Sanitation, and Maintenance to keep operations running efficiently.
• Follow all food safety, GMP, safety, and sanitation requirements.
• Cross‑train and operate different bakery equipment as business needs require.
