The Field Technician – Installation role at AMF Bakery Systems focuses on mechanical and electrical installation and commissioning of our equipment at customer sites. The ideal candidate has at least three years in the commercial baking industry, plus five years of electrical and mechanical experience on high-speed bakery lines.

Expect extensive travel across North America and international assignments, with dynamic teamwork, documentation, and customer training responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Three years of field service experience in the food/bakery or packaging industry.
• Five years of electrical and mechanical experience in a high-speed bakery or other automated process equipment environment.
• 75% travel required in North America and international
• Proficiency with control systems and diagnostic tools.

Responsabilités

• Perform Mechanical and Electrical installation and commissioning of AMF equipment
• Conduct inspections, repairs and maintenance of existing equipment
• Participate in the preparation/execution of the installation work, participation includes pre-installation daily meetings as well as post-installation meetings, and feedback to internal staff through visit/inspection reporting
• Provide action points on project action lists for feedback using assigned tools & templates
• Submit time and expense reports by means of assigned systems
• Interact with project managers, engineers and installation leads in anticipation and in preparation of work, during work and post work to ensure clear and accurate communication and continuous improvement (written if required)
• Provide basic training to customer personnel on the basic maintenance and operation of AMF equipment
• Provide constructive feedback to project team for resolving technical issues, quality issues or in general with ideas for improvement
• Support 1st Line Support Engineer to resolve customer issues over the phone/in person as needed
• Advise customers on parts, upgrades, service as needed and introduce the customer to the Customer Care additional offerings and contacts.
