Job summary

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Interest in natural foods and Whole Foods Market mission.

Responsibilities

• Ensures fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and stocked.
• Stocking and cleaning shelves, bins, and display areas.
• Monitor spoilage and communicate waste to buyers and leads.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Assist with sampling program and keep sample areas tidy.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrive on time; attend trainings and meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service and apply suggestive selling.
• Maximize sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, and merchandising.
• Follow procedures on weights, measures, health and sanitation; ensure safe practices.
• Maintain clean, sanitary environment and equipment; follow safety standards.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; verify signage and pricing.
• Report safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
