Job summary

Lowes Foods in Garner, NC seeks a Bakery Bench Department Manager to oversee guest service, merchandising programs and departmental operation in the bakery. After training, benches are expected to fill a Department Manager role within 30 miles of home.

You will lead a team to deliver friendly service, manage inventory, ensure product quality, and maintain sanitation standards while adhering to company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the bakery department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the bakery department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs PA announcements.
