Responsibilities

• Observe and follow all company policies and standard practices.
• In the absence of the department manager, manage department operations per standard practices.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance per policy.
• Recognize and coach associates delivering great service.
• Understand and use company tools such as financial reports, scheduling, productivity, and business information systems.
• Maintain clear communication with the store manager and organization.
• Maintain department merchandising techniques and layouts per standards.
• Ensure pricing and coding compliance within the department.
• Work within Management Planning guidelines to maintain productivity.
• Support safety standards and report needed repairs; keep area free of hazards.
• Develop product knowledge in assigned department, including preparation.
• Understand the department's Standard Practice manual.
• Ensure training for all assigned department associates.
• Maintain sanitation and food safety standards.
• Maintain department appearance and presentation.
• Treat associates with fairness and respect; provide recognition and feedback.
• Perform special projects and duties as assigned.
