Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Ability to lead and direct others.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Accreditation as a Food Safety Manager within 90 days or training provided by Hannaford.

Responsibilities

• Lead department operations in line with standards, acting in the absence of the Assistant Store Manager.
• Provide outstanding customer service and model selling excellence.
• Grow sales through effective merchandising strategies.
• Maintain department appearance, quality, variety, safety, sanitation and food safety.
• Maintain accurate production, shrink, sales and inventory records.
• Use company tools for financials, scheduling, productivity, ordering and reporting.
• Create and maintain work schedules to meet production and service standards.
• Provide coaching, feedback and assist with performance management.
• Assist in training associates to meet department needs.
• Maintain clear communication with the store team and management.
• Follow all company policies and standard practices.
