Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Bench Department Manager to supervise the bakery department after training. The role ensures guests receive friendly service, maintains quality standards, and adheres to merchandising and operational guidelines.

You will also manage inventory, scheduling, and staff development to meet performance targets. Ideal candidates bring bakery knowledge, strong communication, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality and strong guest service orientation.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Knowledge of bakery operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise bakery department staff to provide polite, friendly service.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the bakery department.
• Maintain inventory levels and supplies; ensure quality and sanitation standards.
• Operate department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Provide training, guidance and feedback to hosts to achieve performance standards.
• Assist with product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as needed.
• Maintain labor budgets and scheduling standards.
• Handle PA announcements and other duties as assigned by management.
