Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Bakery Department Manager to supervise the bakery team, ensure guest service excellence and maintain merchandising and operational standards. You will act in the store manager's absence and drive department performance.

Responsibilities include achieving sales targets, managing inventory and labor, upholding product quality and safety, and training staff to meet performance standards.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality and ability to engage guests.
• Proven ability to work well with others and support a team.
• Lifts 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally; maintains safe lifting.
• Reads and understands information and directions clearly.
• Knowledge of bakery operations and product standards.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical job requirements.
• Excellent communication, guest service, and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Can effectively communicate with Store Manager and Merchandiser.
• Able to work well with computers and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from bakery department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the bakery department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines.
• Ensure quality of products meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback for staff.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as needed.
• Maintain department labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
