Job summary

Lowes Foods seeks a Bakery Department Manager to supervise the bakery team, ensure guest service excellence, uphold merchandising standards and manage department operations. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will assume the department leadership role to maintain performance and service levels.

The position emphasizes leadership, inventory control, budgeting, staff training, sanitation, and adherence to company guidelines to deliver high-quality products and guest experiences.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from bakery department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the bakery department.
• Maintain inventory and supplies.
• Follow merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to staff.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as needed.
• Maintain department labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform PA announcements.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
