Shaw’s and Star Market is seeking a Bakery Department Manager to lead daily bakery operations, ensuring top quality, freshness and presentation while delivering outstanding customer service. You will oversee production planning, merchandising, scheduling, inventory, and safety compliance in a fast-paced environment.

You will hire and develop bakery staff, foster teamwork, and drive sales growth through engaging customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a bakery department or similar团队 leadership
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot/cold environments

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Bakery Department operations, ensuring quality, freshness, presentation, and customer service
• Foster a welcoming, customer-focused environment and resolve concerns and special orders
• Plan and execute daily bakery production based on sales trends and seasonal demand
• Execute merchandising plans, promotions, planograms, and seasonal programs
• Manage department sales, labor, scheduling, ordering, inventory, and shrink
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements
• Hire, train, coach, and develop bakery associates while promoting teamwork and accountability
