Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas helpful.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection, and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Support succession planning and career development for team members.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and provide input on promotions.
• Manage P&L, drive sales, and minimize shrink in the department.
• Model excellent, fast, and friendly customer service.
• Promote the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and conversations.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed customer service and sales goals.
