Job summary

Responsibilities include preparing items per orders, stocking inventory, applying pricing and labels, and upholding food safety and safety programs. Strong customer service and basic math skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery/deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes.
• Recommend bakery/deli items to meet customer needs.
• Use bakery equipment per guidelines (refrigerators, slicers, ovens).
• Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, mix ingredients, and use kitchen utensils as needed.
• Label and inventory department merchandise and stock shelves.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
• Maintain proper temperatures and temperature logs in cases and coolers.
• Promote a welcoming environment for customers and associates.
• Follow food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Report accidents and notify management as needed.
• Ability to work cooperatively in high-paced environment and manage conflicts.
