Job summary

C&K Market Inc. is seeking a Bakery/Deli Supervisor to oversee 7-30 staff, hire and train personnel, and manage ordering, paperwork, and basic bookkeeping. The role includes food prep such as frying chicken, doughnuts, and various baked goods, plus slicing meats and cheeses, stocking, and customer service.

You will also handle phone orders, cash handling, wrap/price items, and ensure pricing accuracy while maintaining cleanliness and efficient operation within the Bakery/Deli area.

Qualifications

• Supervises 7-30 employees in Bakery/Deli operations.
• Interviewing and hiring applicants; onboarding and coaching staff.
• Orders supplies and manages budgets and inventory.
• Performs diverse food prep tasks including frying, baking, slicing, and serving.
• Maintains paperwork and bookkeeping and handles cash transactions.

Responsibilities

• Reports to store manager regularly.
• Meets budgeted sales, wage and gross profit objectives and operating standards for quality control, merchandising, sales promotion and customer service.
• Directs daily procedures for handling and manufacturing product.
• Plans and controls product flow.
• Assigns schedules and supervises staff to meet merchandising and production plans.
• Ensures that company policies and procedures are maintained.
• Ensures that reports and requested forms are adequate and submitted properly.
• Receives products and ingredients checking for quality, correct amounts, shelf-life and proper invoicing.
• May perform any and all duties of all other positions within the Bakery/Deli including: (see next items)
• Any duties and responsibilities of the baking or frying staff.
• Any duties and responsibilities of the customer service staff.
• Any duties and responsibilities of the cake decorator.
