Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Provide fresh products ordered with correct portion size to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, mix ingredients with various utensils.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager.
• Understand store layout to locate products on request.
