Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials
• Provide fresh products as ordered and maintain correct portion sizes
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions
• Measure, mix and prepare ingredients as per recipes
• Package, label and inventory ingredients
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates
• Use kitchen equipment safely (stove, scale, fryer, steamer)
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
• Report discrepancies to manager
• Understand store layout to locate products
• Stay updated with ads and promotions
• Maintain product knowledge and respond to questions
• Monitor inventory levels and address discrepancies
• Maintain proper temperatures and temperature logs
• Promote trust and respect among associates
• Create welcoming environment for customers
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures
• Notify management of accidents
• Work cooperatively in high-paced environments
