Maintain freshness, portioning accuracy, and product knowledge while upholding food safety standards. Responsibilities include operating bakery equipment, stocking inventory, and assisting customers with product selections.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery/deli items per customer requests using bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide fresh products in correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and recipes.
• Measure and mix ingredients with various kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Check product quality and sell-by dates; take action as needed.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and logs.
• Answer customer questions and suggest products.
