Bakery/Deli Clerk (Finance)

Responsibilities include:

• Offering product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Informing customers about bakery and deli specials.
• Providing customers with ordered products, ensuring correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommending bakery or deli items to meet customer needs.
• Using bakery equipment properly, including refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens.
• Preparing foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measuring, preparing, and mixing ingredients as per recipes.
• Packaging, labeling, and inventorying ingredients.
• Checking product quality and freshness, reviewing "sell by" dates.
• Properly using kitchen equipment like stoves, scales, fryers, and steamers.
• Labeling, stocking, and inventorying merchandise.
• Reporting discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
• Understanding store layout to assist customers efficiently.
• Staying current with promotions and seasonal ads.
• Maintaining knowledge of products and responding to customer inquiries.
• Monitoring inventory conditions and ensuring proper storage temperatures.
• Promoting a respectful and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Practicing preventive maintenance and reporting equipment issues.
