Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Responsibilities

1. Prepare bakery and deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.
2. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
3. Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
4. Provide customers with fresh products in correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
5. Recommend bakery or deli items to ensure customer satisfaction.
6. Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
7. Follow food safety and temperature logs, and prepare foods following cooking instructions.
8. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients according to recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.
9. Label, package, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
10. Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take necessary actions.
11. Maintain store layout knowledge to locate products for customers.
12. Stay current with store promotions and product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
13. Ensure proper temperature maintenance in cases and coolers, and keep logs.
14. Create a welcoming environment for customers and promote trust among staff.
15. Adhere to food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
16. Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
17. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
18. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
19. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
