Responsibilities include:
- Offering product samples to help customers discover new items.
- Informing customers about bakery and deli specials.
- Providing fresh products as ordered, ensuring correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
- Recommending products to customers based on their needs.
- Using bakery equipment per company guidelines.
- Preparing foods according to food safety standards and recipes.
- Measuring, preparing, and mixing ingredients.
- Packaging, labeling, and inventorying ingredients.
- Checking product quality and freshness, reviewing 'sell by' dates.
- Properly using kitchen equipment such as ovens, slicers, fryers, etc.
- Labeling, stocking, and inventory management.
- Reporting discrepancies in product orders or shipments.
- Maintaining knowledge of store layout and product locations.
- Staying current with advertisements and promotions.
- Responding knowledgeably to customer questions and making suggestions.
- Monitoring inventory levels and conditions.
- Maintaining proper temperature logs and ensuring safety standards.
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers.
- Adhering to food safety and safety procedures.
- Reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
- Managing conflict calmly and cooperatively.
