Key Responsibilities:

• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Provide customers with ordered products, ensuring correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommend bakery or deli items to meet customer needs.
• Operate bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
• Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.
• Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise properly.
• Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take necessary actions.
• Use kitchen equipment properly, including stoves, scales, fryers, and steamers.
• Stock and inventory department merchandise, report discrepancies.
• Understand store layout to assist customers efficiently.
• Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and seasonal items.
• Maintain product knowledge to answer questions and make suggestions.
• Monitor inventory conditions and ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers.
• Promote a respectful environment among associates and create welcoming customer experiences.
• Adhere to food safety and safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and practice preventive maintenance.
