Responsibilities:

• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products ordered and ensure correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Use bakery equipment according to company guidelines and prepare foods following safety and quality standards.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes, and properly package, label, and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take appropriate actions.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise and report discrepancies.
• Assist customers in locating products and stay current with store ads and product knowledge.
• Maintain proper temperatures and logs for cases and coolers.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and promote trust among associates.
• Adhere to all food safety and safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and practice preventive maintenance.
• Handle customer or employee accidents appropriately and work cooperatively in high-paced environments.
• Manage conflicts professionally, act with honesty and integrity, and follow directions.
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
