Responsibilities include:
- Offering product samples to help customers discover new items.
- Informing customers about bakery and deli specials.
- Providing customers with fresh products and correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
- Recommending bakery or deli items to meet customer needs.
- Using equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
- Preparing foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measuring, preparing, and mixing ingredients as per recipes.
- Packaging, labeling, and inventorying ingredients and products.
- Checking product quality and freshness, reviewing 'sell by' dates.
- Properly using kitchen equipment like stoves, scales, fryers, and steamers.
- Labeling, stocking, and inventory management.
- Reporting discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
- Understanding store layout and assisting customers in locating products.
- Staying updated on current, upcoming, seasonal, and promotional ads.
- Maintaining knowledge of products and responding to customer questions and suggestions.
- Monitoring inventory and stocking conditions, noting discrepancies.
- Ensuring proper storage temperatures and maintaining logs.
- Promoting trust and respect among staff.
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers.
- Adhering to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
