Job Responsibilities:

• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Inform customers about bakery and deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products ordered, ensuring correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
• Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.
• Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise properly.
• Check product quality, review sell-by dates, and take necessary actions.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to management.
• Understand store layout to assist customers in locating products.
• Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and seasonal ads.
• Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer questions with suggestions.
• Monitor inventory and stocking conditions, noting discrepancies.
• Ensure proper temperature maintenance in cases and coolers, keeping logs.
• Promote trust and respect among team members.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers, enhancing their shopping experience.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions, and practice preventive maintenance.
