Job Responsibilities:
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
- Inform customers about bakery and deli specials.
- Provide customers with fresh products ordered, ensuring correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
- Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
- Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
- Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.
- Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise properly.
- Check product quality, review sell-by dates, and take necessary actions.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to management.
- Understand store layout to assist customers in locating products.
- Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and seasonal ads.
- Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer questions with suggestions.
- Monitor inventory and stocking conditions, noting discrepancies.
- Ensure proper temperature maintenance in cases and coolers, keeping logs.
- Promote trust and respect among team members.
- Create a welcoming environment for customers, enhancing their shopping experience.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and safety procedures.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, and practice preventive maintenance.
- Report customer or employee accidents promptly.
