• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products as ordered, ensuring correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommend bakery or deli items to meet customer needs.
• Operate bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
• Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using appropriate utensils and equipment.
• Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise properly.
• Check product quality for freshness, reviewing 'sell by' dates and taking necessary actions.
• Use kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to the manager.
• Understand store layout to assist customers effectively.
• Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and ads.
• Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.
• Monitor inventory and stocking conditions, noting discrepancies.
• Ensure proper temperature maintenance in cases and coolers, keeping logs.
