Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a bakery decorator to plan, decorate, and prepare bakery items for customers and displays. You will assist with daily bakery operations and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of decorating tools and food safety, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Prior decorating experience is a plus; 18+ to operate equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Decorator certification desirable.
• 18+ years of age required to operate or clean equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, ice, and decorate cakes and baked goods for display or orders.
• Trace and copy designs onto cakes using templates or freehand drawing.
• Match and blend icing colors; assess color, texture, aroma, flavor, and taste.
• Select decorating materials and tools; make quick decisions under time pressure.
• Maintain clean and safe work area; follow safety procedures and company standards.
• Plan production schedules in line with seasons, store promotions, and events.
• Ensure product quality and food safety per company standards.
• Provide friendly, customer-focused service; greet and assist customers.
