Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a Bakery Decorator to create and decorate cakes and a variety of bakery items for daily display and special requests. You will trace designs, mix icing colors, and help plan production around store promotions and seasonal events.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, and at least 6 months of related experience; Food Handler certification is required, and decorator certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED and six or more months of related experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ years old to operate or clean motorized equipment.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Decorator certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, ic es, and decorates cakes and other baked goods for display or customer requests.
• Traces and copies drawings onto cakes using templates or free-hand sketches.
• Identifies, matches, and blends icing colors.
• Plans production schedule in conjunction with seasons, store promotions, and community events.
• Maintains clean, safe, and sanitary working environment in line with Company safety procedures.
