Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals
• Maintain a safe, clean bakery environment
• Answer questions regarding products and make recommendations
• Prepare bakery items per customer requests using bakery equipment
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items
• Inform customers of bakery specials and promotions
• Provide fresh products and ensure correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
• Monitor temperature logs and comply with food safety guidelines
• Report discrepancies in ordering/shipping to management
