Job summary

Fresh Grocer in Ringwood, NJ is hiring a Bakery Clerk to assist the Bakery Manager with daily operations, pricing, stocking and rotating merchandise, and to keep the department neat, clean and appealing. This role supports a fast-paced retail bakery environment in the Fieldstone Plaza location.

The position requires reading, writing and speaking English, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for full shifts, and work in varying temperatures; overtime may be required as needed

Qualifications

• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Greet all Customers and provide them with prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Rotate product to ensure freshness.
• Check prices and be knowledgeable about location of items in the store.
• Stand at work station for duration of scheduled shift, which may exceed 8 hours per day.
