Job summary

El Super is hiring a Bakery Clerk for Store #24 in La Puente, CA. Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, you will provide friendly customer service and assist with bakery purchases, special orders, and merchandise displays.

You will work with the Baker to determine items to bake or decorate and help keep the bakery area clean and organized in a fast-paced environment. Food handling experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information to customers and coworkers.
• Follow written or oral instructions with common sense.
• Regularly lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with bakery purchases and take special orders.
• Clean and rotate self-serve displays and maintain the bakery area.
• Collaborate with the Baker on items to bake or decorate.
