Job summary

Balls Food Stores is seeking a friendly Bakery Clerk in Leawood, Kansas to enhance guest experiences with fresh pastries and delightful service. You’ll help package and present bakery items, assist guests with selections, and ensure displays are clean and attractive.

Responsibilities include baking items per schedules, maintaining sanitation, stocking inventory, and operating POS systems while collaborating with teammates for smooth store operations.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Preferred: grocery, retail, or food service experience.
• Preferred: knowledge of food safety (certification a plus).

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly service and maintain department standards.
• Package, label, stock, and display bakery products.
• Prepare and bake items per schedules and standards.
• Keep work areas clean and adhere to sanitation guidelines.
• Assist guests with product selection and allergen information.
• Stock and rotate products using FIFO and monitor inventory needs.
• Operate POS systems and related equipment accurately.
• Collaborate with teammates to support store operations.
• Follow company policies and participate in trainings.
• Remain productive during slow periods by restocking or supporting other areas.
