Job summary

Balls Food Stores is seeking a motivated Bakery Clerk to help stock, prepare, and display bakery items while delivering friendly guest service. You will assist guests, label products, and ensure freshness.

Responsibilities include preparing donuts, pastries, and cookies, maintaining neat work areas, and operating POS systems. A high school diploma or GED and flexible availability are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in grocery, retail, or food service preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards preferred.
• Experience with food preparation, baking, or kitchen equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support guest hospitality by delivering friendly service and maintaining department standards.
• Package, label, stock, and display bakery products with emphasis on freshness and presentation.
• Prepare items such as donuts, pastries, and cookies according to schedules and standards.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas following sanitation guidelines.
• Assist guests with product selections, allergen information, and special orders.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise using FIFO to minimize waste.
• Operate POS systems and related equipment for transactions.
