Job summary

Balls Foods is seeking a friendly Bakery Clerk to help create a welcoming bakery experience for guests in Missouri. You will package pastries, assist with selections, and ensure displays are full, clean, and visually appealing.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in grocery, retail, or food service environments preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is a plus.
• Experience with food preparation, baking, or kitchen equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly guest hospitality and maintain product presentation and department standards.
• Package, label, stock, and display bakery products while ensuring quality and freshness.
• Operate POS systems and assist guests with transactions.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas following sanitation guidelines.
• Assist guests with product selection, allergen information, and special orders.
• Rotate and merchandise products using FIFO methods to minimize waste and maintain displays.
• Collaborate with teammates to support store operations and guest experience.
• Follow company policies and participate in trainings and development.
• Stay productive during slower periods by assisting in other areas as needed.
