Sprouts Farmers Market in Newnan, GA is seeking a Bakery Clerk to prepare, bake, and package all bakery goods while delivering friendly, responsive customer service in our fast-paced grocery environment.

You will assist in daily bakery operations, maintain cleanliness, handle stock and pricing, and help with special orders. Must be 18+, possess a HS diploma, and be available for nights/weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have an outgoing and friendly demeanor, positive attitude, and the ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously, up to 10 hours with heavy items, and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Adhere to safety/health regulations and obtain a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, and package all baked goods.
• Assist Bakery Manager with pricing, merchandising, and restocking.
• Provide high level of customer service and maintain clean bakery area.
• Maintain correct pricing and rotate stock; discard outdated items.
• Receive and inspect shipments for accuracy and quality.
