Job summary

Fiesta Mart is hiring a Bakery Clerk at Store 014 Houston‑Bellaire/Hwy 6. Under the Bakery Manager, you will help customers with bakery purchases, maintain clean displays, and assist with special orders.

This role emphasizes friendly service to a diverse customer base in a fast-paced grocery setting. Applicants should be able to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally and communicate effectively in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Bilingual reading and writing in Spanish/English, engaging with customers and coworkers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with bakery purchases and maintain clean shelves and display cases.
• Clean, fill, and rotate self‑serve displays in front of the store and by the bakery.
• Take special orders from customers and coordinate with the Baker on items needing baking or decorating.
• Assist in department cleaning, including floor maintenance as required.
• Work under supervision of the Bakery Manager to ensure friendly, courteous service.
