The Kroger Co. is seeking a Bakery Clerk to create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service and by maintaining a safe, clean environment that keeps customers coming back.

You will assist the department manager in achieving sales and quality standards while upholding Kroger’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. You will prepare items per customer requests, offer samples to customers, and promote bakery specials.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Desire to gain understanding of food production and basic cooking techniques.
• Effective communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
• Good basic math skills.
• Ability to obtain current food handlers permit once employed.

Responsabilités

• Prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
• Inform customers of bakery specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products that they have ordered and the correct portion size.
• Recommend bakery items to customers to ensure they get the products they want.
