Position Details

• Title: Bakery Clerk
• Type: Part Time – Hourly

Primary Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and politely ring out customers
• Bake, wrap, package, and sell baked goods
• Prepare bread, rolls, buns, cakes, pies, pastries, and brownies
• Maintain safety standards and perishables, stay updated on safety procedures
• Transport and stock goods within the department
• Ensure compliance with health and safety codes, check pricing and expiration dates, organize the workspace
• Monitor and record cooler/freezer temperatures and perform maintenance
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned, assist other departments as needed
• Stay informed about safety standards and chemical/machine usage
• Understand merchandising labels, order codes, reports, invoices, and forms
• Follow verbal instructions regarding store policies and equipment use

Qualifications

• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in related fields preferred
• Familiarity with ovens, mixers, fryers, bread slicers, scales, and cleaning supplies

Specific Tasks

• Lifting and moving up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain signage and pricing accuracy
• Care for signs, banners, and cleanliness
• Handle cash and electronic payments accurately
• Respond promptly and politely to inquiries
• Use store communication systems properly

Work Environment

Indoor setting with temperature and humidity fluctuations from various store areas. All employees must comply with company policies and legal requirements. Responsibilities and duties may vary reasonably.
