• Retail store experience required.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales results.
• Achieves sales and margin targets.
• Develops assortment plans by product group.
• Manages category advertising, assortment, sales and margins.
• Oversees inventory life cycles and promotional purchases.
• Negotiates favorable terms with suppliers.
• Develops marketing and promotional programs for items and categories.
• Oversees incremental income such as advertising cooperatives, markdown monies, coupon redemption, rebates, scan backs, and temporary price reductions.
• Identifies and implements private label opportunities.
• Coordinates with Operations for correct category execution.
• Works with other Category Managers to optimize merchandising and store performance.
• Develops and implements category and product line strategies.
