Hy-Vee Bakery is seeking a detail-oriented Cake Designer to bring customers' visions to life through creative cake decorating. You will lead part-time staff, coordinate with the bakery team, and ensure orders are produced accurately and on schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take cake orders with a friendly, helpful approach.
• Review orders, plan timelines, and verify details for each cake.
• Decorate cakes and keep up with current designs and trends.
• Develop daily bakery orders for bakers and sizes needed.
• Lead part-time staff and coordinate with the Bakery Manager.
• Maintain sanitation and safe food-handling practices.
• Assist with setup of wedding cakes on site and delivery when required.
• Communicate displays, promotions, and special needs to the Bakery Manager.
